Kathryn Karukas is a weight inclusive eating disorder dietitian working at Courage to Nourish. Kathryn supports individuals in healing their relationship with food, movement and their bodies. Kathryn works with individuals with various eating disorders, but specifically enjoys working with individuals with ARFID, chronic illnesses, and disordered eating. She practices from a Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating lense. Prior to working at Courage to Nourish, Kathryn worked in college health and college athletics settings where she also supported individuals in their eating disorder recovery. Kathryn is passionate about bringing awareness to the prevalence of eating disorders in athletes, and removing diet culture from the world of athletics. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from UNC Greensboro, and a Masters in Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition from Florida State University. She currently lives in Baltimore, MD with her Golden Retriever, Queso.

Montgomery County Counseling Center Provider #1935, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continue Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continued education credit. ACE provider approval period: (7/22/2024-7/22/2028). Social workers completing this course receive 1.5 clinical continuing education credits.
